As you may have noticed, we've been shifting the forums around a bit, trying to get them named descriptively and in a logical order.
Calling this members forum "The Conversation Room" was just a mental catagory that descriptively labeled it in our set-up process. But now it seems to me that it sounds a bit like a CNN news show, and is a bit awkward to say when discussing the message board with people we are inviting. (I could have just called it the "Members Forum"....)
So........I have a couple ideas, maybe you'll come up with a couple more......and then since this is the MEMBERS social get-together forum, the MEMBERS can decide what to call it. Is that brilliant or what? Besides, it will give us a chance to try out our voting poll.
Here's what we are naming: The forum that is for registered ZFF members only where we can come and connect with each other, leave messages, ask for personal advice or ministry, make jokes (not that you can't make jokes in other forums---I make jokes everywhere!), post off-topic subjects, share family photos, talk about everything and nothing. Basically a general discussion forum.
Here's some we've talked about:
Conversation Room is what we called it in our invite letters. We could leave it the same, and not confuse anybody. This could be the favorite option of those who hate change. :geezer: (just kidding!) I love this little guy...he reminds me of our friend, bearded Bill Thurman.
~The Parlor~ --from the French, "to talk" It has an international flair that we like, since we ARE an international group, with members already from Australia, South Aftrica, and soon possibly Bolivia, as well as from all over the US.
ZionFireFriends Cafe - Dean has actually referred to this forum that way once, that's what gave me the idea. And when you think about it, a cafe is a lively place where people pop in and out and join whatever conversation is going on at the moment.
So y'all discuss and give us your cleverest, most descriptive titles, and then we'll gather up the best ones and take a vote.

REVIEW:
Paul Wilbur. Classically trained tenor with a guitar. Nah, MUCH more than that!...Beginning with the days of Israel's Hope, each of Paul's albums, have been powerful markers of God's help in the lives of those who love Israel and the Jewish Messiah who died for the redemption of both Israel and the Gentiles. Watchman is destined to be another milestone, a touch point, in the journey. Watchman is a call to the body of Christ "to take up their place on the walls of their lives, congregations, cities, and nations- to be faithful, prayerful, and watchful during this most prophetic hour."...
...Watchman brings Paul's signature style to yet another "recorded live" project. Listen, as carefully crafted arrangements wend their way through your soul, enticing you, demanding that you enter in. Listen to the shofar, the Mosaic trumpet, as it calls us to assembly for worship, as it stirs your spirit-man from the first seconds of the album. Listen for infectious laughter and joy. You'll find yourself hanging on the words of the lyrics, agreeing and "amen-ing" as your heart sings with his. This is not an album for casual listening. It will capture you and you'll find yourself lifting your hands in surrender-in worship.
The album is about 71 minutes of music that ranges from very vertical to subtly horizontal. There is dancing music, thinking music, and some simply awe-filled time. Bring your Hebrew along; as with most of Paul's albums, there are significant reminders of Paul's Jewish heritage and God's love (and this reviewer's) of things Hebrew. The music is thoroughly laced with scriptural allusions and quotes; the selections are interspersed with a few, choice, spoken scriptural exhortations. The arrangements are full of musical reminders of the Middle East. Acoustic, electronic, and folk elements are woven together to provide a delicious and tantalizing time with Paul as he leads a processional to the courts of our Lord.
Of the fourteen songs in twelve cuts, thirteen are new to my ears, and the fourteenth is a freshly arranged part of a short medley to joyfully finish the album dancing and jumping. Part of Paul's heart is to bring new and fresh music to the body of Messiah (I'm glad). I especially enjoyed the deep and intimate moments found in "Holy, Holy, Holy", "Worthy", and "A Resting Place". Paul has done a number of "Holy" songs over the years and each of them is a delight to my spirit. It's amazing what one can do with one word repeated three times. The four living creatures in Revelation 4 who never cease to say, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY
" will not tire of those words for all eternity because of creative souls like Paul Wilbur who give their all to glorify their God.

<COLOR color="blue"><FONT font="Arial">Hi Everyone
I just read this thread for the first time today...somehow I missed it before...wow..how great to see all of the names on here...brings back a lot of wonderfu;l memories...
Francesca..how are you?...let us know where you are and what you are doing
I am here in KC still...we now attend a Southeern Baptist Church ....yes I did say SBC...LOL...not sure what God has in mind...but it is interesting. The worship leader is awesome and has some great things in mind he would like to see happen ...but of course there is NO dance going on.
Dean and I both sing in choir and we recently taught a study on the Patriarchs.
We are hoping to have more opportunity to teach about Israel in the near future...someone asked me today if we could get a class going that would teach them a little Hebrew...so I know God has great things in store.
We sing in the choir...and do a mix of contemporary and traditional music, and Dean is in the orchestra. We are both involved with the very fledgling drama team...called Acts of Faith....we have been writing and performing short dramas in the morning worhsip service but I think we are all feeling ready to start a bigger project......which is really cool.
It is a great family..and we really love them but I do miss getting to be inolved with extravagant worship...but God is awesome and who knows what will happen.
Dean is a counselor now at Kansas City Rescue Mission working with homeless men in a long term program and I am working for a temp agency....and hoping that this week I will be permanent at a large Insurance brokerage ....so that part of life is pretty smooth.
We have four grandchildren now ...amazing ..and one more on the way...wow..I am getting old fast...LOL
guess that's all about us....
This is so great...great to see you Nola, Francesca, & the Haddy's ....don't be strangers here...
God Bless

Dean and I like to go to the Marakesh Cafe located in Rosanna Square in Overland Park, Kansas. It is a Morrocan buffet hosted by chef Mustafa, and features a gyro bar, greek salad fixings, hummus, baba ganoush, and a unique citrusy chick pea soup. There is curried chicken and sides of couscous, potato dishes and rice. We love the sweet chili-sauced salmon and the stewed lamb dishes. Mustafa personally brings out warm pitas for you as you sit down for your dinner. Drinks and Baklava is even included in the buffet price...very reasonable, about $10.
For those new to message boards, there is a step-by-step SITE TUTORIAL in the HELP! & Tech Tools forum that will help you get around. You'll find instructions there too on how to use the calendar, post pictures and install an avatar (that little picture under your name). Once you've made a couple of posts, you will be able to personalize your profile. You can do that in :
My Controls under Menu > Personal Profile>
Edit Profile info, Edit Avatar, Edit Signature.
If that prospect seems overwhelming to you right now, that's OK...you can do it later. But this New Member Introductions forum is very easy to post in ....we'd love it if you started a post and said a few words about yourself there so that we can welcome you. Just click on to get a posting screen.
If you are one of the poor unfortunates that is still using dial-up internet access, you will appreciate the tips in this Help & Tech Tools topic: If you have DIAL-UP...
AVATARS: Since this is a message board connected with our ZionFire ministry, we wanted our faces to be associated with our names, so we installed our portraits as our avatars. If you want to do the same, that is great....we love seeing your gorgeous faces. However, you can also put any kind of pic there you want, ministry logo, some favorite pic or symbol, etc.....portraits are appreciated, but not required. (Note: unregistered users cannot see your avatar picture.) Install your avatar in "My Controls". If you need help figuring out how to use your control panel, go here.
NAME CHANGES: If you registered with a name you'd like to change for whatever reason (too long, want to use ministry name/personal name instead, etc.) let us know, and we will make the change for you. The new name will then become your log-in name from that point on.
Did you know you can set up notifications to be e-mailed when there are responses to topics you are interested in? Or when you get a new Private Message? Check out the post on Subscriptions in the "Navigating this Message Board" post in the Help! & Tech Tools forum. Basic instructions, and links to all the ZFF helps topics are also in the "Helps" menu found in the top navigation bar.
If you read the TUTORIAL and still have navigation questions, start a new topic there and ASK.....we'll be glad to walk you through anything you don't understand. And we will keep at it until you get it.
Don't feel you have to always have something pithy or on-topic to say to make a post. Banter, jokes, bunny-trails, personal queries, friendly silliness....all are appropriate forms of message board communication, part of how we get to know each other beyond just the ministry stuff.
Have I missed anything you were wondering about?
oh yes...if you are confused about how to get around, EVERYTHING can be accessed from the forum index page. You can always get back there one of three ways:
park: Click on the banner at the top of every page
park: Click on the underlined ZionFireFriends link at the top left of every page
park: or...just above the copyright (all page bottoms), there is a Back to Index link.
:pigfly: I'm so excited to see familiar names here! Hello to David, Juliette, Nola, Francesca and Sae! Brings back happy memories and the good that can come from...well...you know.
Rochelle here! Still dancing.
I'm very active at Or Ha Olam Messianic Congregation. Officially I am Drama leader and Leader of Interpretive Choreography. Recently we acquired a new overall dance team leader. He goes by the name Jeremiah now but some of you will remember him as Romeo.
I've been doing a lot of writing lately and am currently writing a novel that looks like it will turn into a major saga. This has nothing to do with the Thoene sagas so don't even ask!
I am going to Israel for the first time this spring with my synagogue. I'm excited.
Shalom,
Rochelle
