<COLOR color="purple">The whole subject of David's Tabernacle is not widely taught, and even less, the subject of David's Throne. I think this author has some succinct points about both. --Helena

Amos 9:11-12 In that day will I raise up the Tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name, saith the Lord that doeth this.
This wonderful promise of God is echoed again in Acts 15:16-17. Then, concerning the prophetic, verse 18 in the Amplified Bible goes on to say ...says the Lord who has BEEN MAKING these things KNOWN from the beginning of the world. And of course we know that according to Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
You see, prophetic revelation is PROGRESSIVE; God is continually breaking open the seals of our understanding. It is not NEW truth, it is simply an epiphany, an unveiling of what has always been. Much is being revealed today concerning the Tabernacle of David; one of the finest teachings Ive heard on this is from Bill Burns (it just happens to be on our Feast of Trumpets videos; thats a commercial!). Im not going to attempt to duplicate what other men and women of God have studied out on the subject. Suffice it to say that as you read through 1Chron.15 & 16, the Tabernacle of David speaks of continual praise and worship, no veil to hide the presence and glory of God, the intimacy of the continual manifest presence of the Lord. Apparently all of this happened within a few miles of Gibeon, where the daily sacrifices were still being offered by the priests before an empty Holy of Holies, because the Ark of the Covenant was in Davids Tabernacle on Mount Zion. How many congregations today worship before an empty Holy of Holies, because the progressive revelatory emphasis of the Father has moved? This is partially due to a mindset produced by modern dispensationalism. After all, if our great hope is to be eminently raptured from this planet, our emphasis on going up instead of growing up, then progressive revelation has limited value... just hold on until He comes. However, when we understand our God-ordained destiny to be formed into His image and likeness, to be kings and priests that rule in the earth, then progressive revelation, New Light, fresh manna becomes our sustenance.
As I mentioned a moment ago, this progressive revelation, this New Light is not necessarily NEW, rather it is just being revealed to us and through us. The sunrise that we awaken to in the morning is not NEW light, it has been in existence long ago... yet it is just now being revealed to us. It is interesting to note that in the wilderness, the Tribe of Judah (Judah means praise in Hebrew) pitched their camp facing East, they were the first to see the new light of the new day. So it is spiritually with those who pitch their camp with the restoration of the Tabernacle of David, a life of praise and worship... they shall be the first to see the New Light (revelation) of the New Day, the Third Day.
I believe that absolutely paramount to the manifestation of Gods ultimate purposes in the earth is the restoration of the Tabernacle of David. Its not that I just think that God really likes music, that it puts Him in the mood to do His thing- being God, that is... or that He really needs lots of affirmation through praise for His self-image (Im speaking in jest here!)... or that its just a good thing that WE benefit from... no, thats not it at all. The reason it is integral to Gods purposes is that the Davidic Throne of Isaiah 9:7 is established in the Davidic Tabernacle! Isaiah 16:5 And in mercy shall the Throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the Tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness. Many modern dispensationalists would like to put this Davidic Tabernacle and rule of the Davidic Throne off into a thousand year period in the future, and if thats your paradigm I would encourage you to consider the following. In Acts 15:16, as James quotes the prophecy in Amos 9, it is clear from the context that he is applying the prophecy to his current situation, NOT some future time period at the end of the age. So when Amos says IN THAT DAY, it is not referring to some future millennium, it is referring to the THAT DAY of Isaiah 9:6 ...unto us a SON is given... there shall be NO END, upon the Throne of David and upon His Kingdom... from henceforth even FOREVER. I believe THAT day is THIS day!
Now you might also be thinking, I thought Jesus was the only one who is seated upon the Throne. Well, consider Rev.3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit WITH Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His Throne. Yes, we ARE seated in heavenly places in Christ, in the Davidic Throne! Consider also Jere.17:24-25 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the Lord, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein; Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the Throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever. We are to enter into His Seventh Day Sabbath rest, where we cease from our OWN works (Heb.4:10), as kings and princes (the seat of authority in the earth) sitting upon the Throne of David to rule and reign. We are to be people of Judah... a people of praise. I believe that God is transitioning our praise and worship, expanding our mentalities, shifting us to another dimension... retaining the deep intimacy of worship and Bridal affection, yet moving into oneness of purpose to decree and enforce His will, to bring forth new birth, to fill the earth and subdue it. Its much like natural marriage between a husband and wife; generally the intimate relationship transitions to include the dimension of bringing forth and nurturing a new creation (Im using this only for illustration purposes, Im not making a statement about couples who have no children).
You see, all enemies must be put under the feet of Him (and we are in Him) who sits upon the Throne; actually they already ARE under His feet, we just dont SEE it yet. Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we SEE not YET all things put under him. As we are involved in the restoration of the Tabernacle of David through praise, worship, warfare, harp and bowl, prophetic acts, banners and flags, dance, prophetic proclamation, etc... as we do these things, we begin to SEE the finished work of all things being in subjection under His feet. Some time back, I was at a conference hosted by Clarice Fluitt and witnessed powerful prophetic proclamation through song, dance, costume, procession and pageantry depicting the kingdoms of this world becoming the Kingdom of the Lord. My spirit lept within me as I sensed the power being released in the spiritual realm! I dont know that we have yet grasped the tremendous power released as the Tabernacle of David is restored, Im just beginning to get a glimpse of it. We see it in Psalms 149, especially in verses 6-9, Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand... To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have ALL his saints. Praise ye the Lord.
Yes, we are to execute the judgment written; not by being militant towards people, shaking our fists and thumping our Bibles, but in the spiritual realm through praise. And what is the judgment written?... Revelation 11:15 There were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world ARE become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever. The Literal Bible translates it as there were voices great in Heaven, saying, BECAME the kingdoms of the world of the Lord of us... Did you catch that?... BECAME; it is already a finished work, we must appropriate and enforce that finished work, we are to execute the judgment written! Hebrews 4:3 tells us that ...the works were FINISHED from the foundation of the world. and verses 11-12 go on to say Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.... We must labor in the REST of the finished work with the high praises of God in our mouth, and a two-edged sword in our hand (the Word of God which is alive and powerful), executing and enforcing the judgment written that all enemies be SEEN under His feet! THIS is the decree of the Davidic Throne, ...and he shall sit upon it in truth in the Tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and HASTING righteousness.(Isaiah 16:5)
We must also realize as we look in the mirror that feet are not connected directly to the head, there is a body that connects them. So it is with Christ, feet are not connected directly to the Head, there is a BODY that connects them. Consider Romans 16:20, the Literal Bible says ....the God of peace will CRUSH Satan under the feet of YOU shortly. The word translated as crush is suntribo in Greek, it means to crush completely, i.e. to shatter (literally or figuratively), break (in pieces). All enemies (Im speaking of spiritual enemies, NOT people; remember, we wrestle not against flesh and blood!) will be put under our feet, for we are His Body.
Yes, we are to execute the judgment written through praise, proclamation, decree, dance, lifting up the banner, corporate movement, prophetic acts, instrumental proclamation, etc. You might be thinking that all this sounds very entertaining, but very impractical and of little value. Well consider that Jehoshaphat sent singers out in front of the army (2 Chron.20:21), Joshua conquered Jericho by the prophetic acts of marching, blowing trumpets and shouting (Joshua 6:4-5), the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a banner (Isaiah 59:19), and armies with banners are described as terrible or awesome (Song of Solomon 6:4), just to name a few. For too long the creative arts have been dominated by the kingdom of darkness, primarily because the religious system that feeds from the Tree of Knowledge has had little use for the arts, and has labeled artistic people as non-conformists and therefore undesirable. Satan understands well the spiritual power of the creative arts, it is time we reclaimed what God created for His purposes! Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints... Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp... Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand (Ps.149:1,3,6) Men and women of Judah (praise) are seeing the Light of this New Day as houses of prayer are springing up all over the world. Its not just about intimacy / praise and worship, its about ONENESS of purpose as kings and priests. Let the restoration of the Tabernacle of David flourish and the Throne of David be exalted in the earth!

Hymns Of The Lukewarm Church: For God's Frozen People :choir:
The LukeWarm Church announces publication of "Church Songs," whose title, according to the editor, was selected because "we didn't want to turn anybody off with threatening words that no one understands anymore like 'worship' or 'hymn.' People in today's society get kind of uncomfortable with too much talk about things like commitment and dedication. They'd much rather have a religion that they can turn on or off at will. Our book seeks to meet that need."

Dear Helena
Do you have to back up your forum in case of catastrophies? If not, do you know if your server backs it up. And if they do, will they reinstate this forum for you?
I ask because my sister and I run a small (new) forum and it's come to light that the server does back up their part but won't resinstate our little piece and we can't find out how to do it.
Though we aren't using the same server as you but jus thought I'd ask....

Hi,
I was just mulling some things over in my head and one of those things was this question--are worship leaders called? Gifted? Talented in worship? What exactly makes them the worship "leader"? Is it their desire? Their musical expertise?
As for me, I was "called", actually picked out and named to be a worship leader, back when I had no desire nor inclination to be or become one. (just stating how I originally got into leading worship--not being prideful)
Sometimes I have to wonder when watching leaders at other churches and places, just how did they get into leading worship. Does anyone here know what I mean??
Thanks for reading my rants, I look forward to hearing your opinions. Bring it on Dean! (and Helena) ;-)
Blessings from Quebec!
Moe.
God appointed feast times for Israel. They happened at regular times during the year, and everyone was expected to participate. It was a time to stop regular activities and routines and "go up to the mountain of the Lord" to celebrate, fellowship, glorify and thank God for his goodness.
God in His wisdom, knew that His people needed times apart from the daily grind of life for refreshing, refocusing, and renewal.
The modern church doesn't, as a general rule, celebrate all these particular feasts, but have developed others such as Christmas and Easter. And a lot of churches also have their own set yearly celebrations of important events and remembrances.
So, does your church have celebrational feasts regularly? How important do you think it is to the worship life of your church? Does it really provide refreshing and renewal, or is it just something that is "done".?
I was thinking about this because, this year for the first time, our cathedral is going to plan to celebrate on Christ the King feast day with a dinner of thanksgiving to the Lord. (And you can be sure that I will be planning some kingly pageantry for this occasion too!) This is significant, because the name of the Cathedral is Church of the King. It was the day of establishment of the congregation and also it's name day. Why we haven't been making a big deal about this all along is mysterious to me.
Along with this we have a spring and a fall convocation which is a three day time of going up to the mountain......not just a service, but three full days of gatherings, teachings and celebrations, and a time to let out all the stops and worship as extravagantly as possible....and in a way that can't be sustained on an every-Sunday basis. For that, we have to come down from the mountain--into the valley where the stuff of normal every-day life goes on.
