Kugel - easy version

Noodle Kugel
1 pound fine egg noodles
5 eggs
3 C. whole milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 C. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 stick butter (melted) [half is enough]
1 C. sour cream
2 C. small curd cottage cheese
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
cinnamon or nutmeg (to sprinkle on top)
Pour dry noodles into greased, deep 9X13 pan. Beat eggs, milk, sugar & salt till creamy. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour over noodles and mix lightly. Sprinkle with spice if desired. Bake 325 degrees for one hour or until set.
(you can use wide noodles if you prefer, but you should partially cook them first.)
