I heard a quote today that made me think of your poem, Margolit.
"Jesus is the divine face of man, and the human face of God." Your poetry illustrates the latter part of the quote very poignantly.
I think we sometimes have a very hard time absorbing the fullness of God's humanity in his Son, and to imagine God speaking to us with passion and ardor is uncomfortable. And yet, when we search the scriptures, we find a God who burns with love for us, who delights in us, and who has heart palpatations when we even look in His direction! It's an enormous concept to grasp, isn't it?
