"more is more"

You may have noticed a new bright gold banner at the bottom of the ZFF pages with this image:

It is the portal to a Christian Dance and Creative Ministries web ring that ZFF is now a a part of.

What IS a web ring?
It is a connected group of similar themed websites who are linked together in a "ring". Each website on the ring has to be approved and accepted by the ring owner, who chooses the best sites from the ones that apply, and can invite sites to be part of that ring. The great thing about a web ring is that you can hop through the websites on the ring and know you will be finding the kind of sites you want without doing tedious hit & miss google searches.

What does this mean to you?
It is a quick resource for viewing other worship arts ministries that flow in the same kinds of ways that we do here at ZFF. There are many different sites on the ring (around 35 or so) so there's lots to explore when you have some time.

How does one navigate a web ring?
There are links in the web ring banner that allow you to stay in the same browser window and travel along the ring in several ways:

  • with <--previous and next--> links
  • choose a random website on the ring (the ring chooses for you)
  • look at a list and go to the site that most interests you
How do I get back to ZFF after I've been on the ring for a while?
Look around the site. Usually on the main page, you will see the same gold banner that is at the bottom of our pages. You can navigate from there. If you have just looked at few other sites along the ring, you can use the "previous" site button. If you've been hopping around, just use your ZFF bookmark to come back home again.

Hope you enjoy the "web ring experience" and find some interesting and helpful things from other sincerely motivated Christian artists.

I noticed that yesterday and thought I just hadn't noticed it before! I did register for my website but couldn't figure out how it worked! I actually know Bona Gerie a little - she lives down in Suffolk - just a 'few' miles from me (like 250!) They actually sent me a reminder just a couple of days ago.

Guess I'll have to take another look at it!

It seemed pretty simple with good logical directions, but I'm getting fairly familiar with customizing the coding that you need to install for this sort of thing...is that what held you up? Anyway, I'm sure you can write her and work it all out. I think your site certainly belongs on a ring like this one.

I see that Bona has joined our board....perhaps she will spend some time here. If you are reading this, Bona, welcome to ZionFireFriends!

Note to everyone:
In fact Bona's site would be a good one to start out on your "ring quest". It's called Dance in Christian Worship. There's some good teaching and resources on her site.

Yes, now you come to mention it, it was all that stuff with the coding ... it was about 2 years ago I enrolled and I was a lot less informed than know. Guess I'll have another go at it.

Thank you for your warm welcome, and for promoting my website.

I am delighted that ZionFireFriends has joined my webring, it's an excellent resource to include in it. I set the ring up in 2000 with a vision to link Christian dance and arts websites.

To be accepted sites have to be Christian/Messianic and have artistic content such as dance, flags, art, drama, poetry, or music. A site must also be of reasonable quality, so that it is readable, the links work, and it loads properly.

Once a site is approved by me, it will be included in the ring as soon as valid code is present on the page. The ring is on automatic management, so only accessible sites with working code appear. Sites that are suspended for technical reasons are automatically reinstated when the problem is fixed. This is necessary to maintain quality, and keep the ring navigable.

If any ZFF members have a site they would like to submit, follow the link in the ring navigation code below. I will always do my best to help people with technical problems.

I am also pleased to have found this board to enable me to communicate with others with a similar vision. I will introduce myself properly in the New Members thread when I get some more free time as it is late at night here.

Blessings,

Bona Gerrie

Bona,

We're always glad to find folks of like mind, with hearts to worship Messiah, to proclaim His Kingship, and to remind the body of His Father's heart for the Jews. Gentiles, too, obviously, but there's that special place for His chosen people.

Again, welcome. We look forward to your intro and to your participation with us on various threads.
Blessings!
